What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in game design, including on shipped titles across multiple genres/platforms.
- Strong grasp of both free-to-play and premium design principles.
- Comfortable adapting to different IPs, tones, and player expectations.
- Proven ability to clearly communicate, demonstrate, and defend design decisions.
- Proven experience writing clear and compelling design documentation.
- Ability to think holistically - from core mechanics to UX to player retention.
- Strategic mindset, confident communication style, and the ability to represent design thinking on client calls.
Nice to have:
- Prior work in an outsourcing or agency environment.
- Experience creating prototypes or other proof-of-concept materials.
What the role is about:
- Contribute to pitch decks and design documentation for client proposals (mobile, PC, console).
- Craft high-level gameplay concepts, mechanics, monetization models, and progression systems.
- Analyze client briefs, market trends, and reference titles to inform strong design strategies.
- Collaborate with art, tech, and production to ensure proposed ideas are realistic and well-scoped.
- Participate in client calls to present design ideas, provide expert input, and adjust proposals based on feedback.
- Validate and prove design concepts through prototyping, clear rationale, or demonstrable examples.
- Offer insights and direction that elevate the creative value of our proposals and help win new projects.
