Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with other team members developing and maintaining high security smart card and USB authenticator configuration files, middleware and Mini drivers enabling government and commercial enterprise customers to use PKI authentication, encryption and decryption of email and files, digital signature and phishing resistant credentials to eliminate passwords.
  • Developing and documenting high quality software in a small team environment.
  • Develop new application software and tools to assist technical teams to test
  • Utilize custom software tools to map client data and create programming logic to provide missing data elements to fulfill requirements
  • Provides adequate release documentation that describes program development, installation, and operating procedures
  • Providing guidance to more junior team members on coding best practices, design patterns and other software development expertise.
  • Providing unit tests, automation and other best practices associated with code quality best practices.
  • Assisting the technical lead and product owner with design decisions and proposing best-in-class solutions based on a given set of requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, modifies, writes, edits, and implements software programming applications.
  • Analyzes and defines software requirements to determine specifications and standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have background in some or all these areas:
    • SSRS and SQL Server experience is required
    • Deep experience with J2EE technologies in enterprise settings
    • Deep experience in C/C++, Java, Python
    • Some experience in RESTful web services, ReactJS, Angular, HTML5
    • Unit, integration, and functional testing
  • Experience designing and developing software across Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and iOS platforms.
  • Experience developing software in the identity or bank card markets.
  • Deep understanding of Smart Card, PKI security cryptography and OpenID Connect.
  • Deep understanding of PCSC, CCID and HID interfaces
  • Previous experience in Physical Access Control (PACS) systems and PROX programming
  • Experience in Biometric modalities like fingerprints, Iris and Face recognition.
  • Previous experience with Identity and access management specifically with PIV, OATH, MFA, FIDO authentication and standards.
  • Familiarity with industry standards including NIST, FIPS 140-3, FIPS 201, ISO and Global Platform.
  • Cryptography (PKI, X509 AES, RSA, ECC, SHA-256, EC Diffie-Helman Key Exchange, PKI)
  • Windows cryptography stacks including CSP and Mini driver
  • Familiarity with JavaCard applets
