We are the Idaho Division of Human Resources (DHR), the central human resources agency dedicated to serving the State of Idaho and its workforce. Our mission is to support the public sector's most valuable asset—its people—by providing strategic leadership and innovative solutions that enhance the employee experience. We oversee the entire lifecycle of state employment, from recruitment and onboarding to professional development and retirement. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that the State of Idaho remains a competitive and inclusive employer, capable of attracting and retaining a diverse and skilled workforce committed to public service.

At DHR, we manage the comprehensive benefits package for state employees, including the nationally recognized Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), health insurance, and wellness programs. We also establish and administer statewide policies regarding compensation, classification, and performance management to ensure consistency and fairness across all state agencies. We are passionate about modernizing our HR systems and processes, recently implementing new technologies like Luma to streamline operations.
