What will you be doing as a Conveyancing Team Leader -
As Conveyancing Team Leader, you will manage a team of 13 (Conveyancers and Assistants) to ensure the efficient, high-quality delivery of residential property transactions. You will lead by example, supervise caseloads, provide technical support, and drive a culture of outstanding client service and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Offering daily support to the team with any technical queries and driving performance through regular coaching and training
- Obtaining and checking land registry documents and title deeds (if the land is unregistered)
- Ensuring all files comply with the company policies and the regulatory framework including CLA, SRA and solicitor account rules
- Undertaking regular 1-2-1s and supporting individual performance
- Carrying out daily meetings with the team and the wider business
- Carrying out weekly file reviews, providing updates to clients, third parties and the completion specialists
- Reviewing ledger balances and post completion matters
- Assisting with team holiday cover to ensure we maintain a high customer service level
- Monitoring team calls and providing constructive feedback
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
What are we looking for?
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Conveyancing Executive.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is essential
- Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing law and practice.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high-performing team
