We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior PV Design Engineer to join international utility-scale solar projects for a flexible, project-based collaboration.
To support the growing project pipeline of our Partner, we are looking for a Senior PV Design Engineer who can independently contribute to the full design lifecycle of utility-scale solar projects and support technical excellence across multiple project stages in different EU countries, the UK and the MENA region.
Scope of Work:
- Develop and optimise PV system designs for ground-mounted utility-scale solar projects
- Perform detailed modelling and simulations to support project development
- Analyse technical documentation and propose design improvements
- Support technical due diligence processes
- Contribute to performance optimisation of PV systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams on:
- Layout design
- Electrical systems
- Overall system performance
Core Technical Requirements:
- PVcase GM
- PVsyst
- Experience with ground-mounted PV systems
- Electrical & Modelling (LV/MV AC systems):
- ETAP or EA-PSM
- Earthing design
- Protection systems
- AutoCAD
Must-Have Experience:
- Proven track record in utility-scale solar PV design
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver results remotely
Nice-to-Have (Advantages):
- Experience working on international solar projects
- Exposure to technical due diligence or lender's engineering
- Familiarity with performance optimisation / yield improvement
- Broader understanding of grid integration or BESS
- Experience collaborating in multinational / distributed teams
