Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled ServiceNow System Administrator, Level 2, to join our IT team.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

  • Develop and implement scoped applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform, adhering to best practices and coding standards. This includes creating and configuring tables, fields, forms, lists, and related UI elements.
    • Customize existing ServiceNow applications (e.g., ITSM, CSM, ITOM) and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules, including testing and deployment support.
    • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Actively participate in requirement gathering sessions and offer technical input.
    • Write and maintain complex client-side and server-side scripts, including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Policies, Client Scripts, UI Pages, and Scheduled Jobs using ServiceNow best practices.
    • Contribute to the implementation and customization of ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Schedule Management). This includes configuring workflows, business rules and other orchestration tools to meet specific business needs.
    • Provide technical support during the implementation and maintenance phases of ServiceNow applications, including troubleshooting and bug fixing.
    • Be responsible for the configuration and administration of solutions within the ServiceNow environment
    • Work with ITSM team members, internal customers, and external vendors to design, configure, test, document, and deploy system changes to the environment
    • Be the primary resource for ensuring system health
    • Provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to Service Management standard methodologies
    • Configure, customize, script, and develop the ServiceNow platform
    • Gather specifications from service owners, document requirements, and deliver product releases to meet business needs
    • Build workflows from service owner requirements including requests, request items and tasks
    • Design and build integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration
    • Use MID servers, web services, email and other relevant technology to integrate tools with the ServiceNow platform
    • Create views and reports as needed to illustrate service performance and demonstrate business value
    • Perform regular system maintenance and patching as required.

Requirements: I have already done that or have it!

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
    • 2-3 years relevant ServiceNow Administrator experience
    • US Citizenship and ability to be obtain a security clearance.
    • Experience with SOAP and REST API development
    • ITIL Foundations knowledge or certification is a plus
    • Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall project management methodologies
    • Advanced Scripting/ Reporting and other classes area highly recommended
    • Ability to communicate to all levels of end users, IS and Management staff
    • Active in the ServiceNow community, including having attended Knowledge events, user group meetings, and participating on discussions in the ServiceNow online forums

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
