Who You Are:

HighLevel is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Manager to own and evolve the end-to-end architecture of our internal business systems. This is a highly senior, strategic role with broad visibility and influence across the company.
This role is explicitly focused on internal operational systems, not product infrastructure or customer-facing software. You will be responsible for ensuring that the platforms used by Support, Customer Success, Sales / Trial Experience, Partners / Affiliates, HR, Finance, Accounting, and RevOps work together as a cohesive, scalable ecosystem.
In addition to architectural ownership, this role will serve as the primary decision-maker for new system requests—evaluating whether we should implement a tool at all, what the true level of effort is, and what the total cost of ownership (TCO) looks like relative to our existing systems and processes. Over time, this role may build and lead a team of systems administrators and architects as HighLevel continues to scale.

Systems & Departmental Scope:

This role owns and governs systems supporting:
  • Customer-facing teams: Support, Customer Success, Sales / Trial Experience, Partners / Affiliates, Account Management, and the Retention teams
  • Operations: Revenue Operations, Support Operations, Workforce Management
  • Corporate functions: HR, Finance, Accounting
  • Data & Analytics: BI tools, data warehouse, ETL and reporting platforms

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Enterprise Systems Architecture & Ownership
  • Own the enterprise-wide architecture for all internal business systems at HighLevel.
  • Maintain a clear, living system map that documents tools, integrations, data flows, and ownership.
  • Ensure systems are designed intentionally to support speed, scale, and reliability.

New Systems Evaluation & Decision Authority

  • Act as the architectural gatekeeper for all new internal system requests.
  • Evaluate tools and vendors by assessing:Business need and strategic alignment
  • Implementation effort and operational complexity
  • Integration and data implicationsTotal cost of ownership (TCO) vs. existing systems or manual processes
  • Long-term scalability, vendor risk, and maintenance overhead
  • Provide clear recommendations on whether to buy, build, enhance, consolidate, or decline tools.
  • Partner closely with Finance and Procurement to support purchasing decisions with structured, data-backed analysis.

Integration, Data & Platform Strategy

  • Design and govern system integrations across operational platforms and analytics tooling.
  • Ensure data flowing between systems is accurate, well-governed, and trusted by leadership.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to align system design with reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Governance, Reliability & Scale

  • Establish standards for configuration, access, documentation, change management, and data integrity.
  • Identify and proactively address architectural risks, technical debt, and system redundancy.
  • Lead resolution of complex, cross-system issues with a focus on long-term fixes, not workarounds.

Strategic Partnership & Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across Support, Revenue, Finance, and Corporate teams.
  • Translate evolving business needs into scalable systems architecture, avoiding one-off solutions.
  • Help leadership understand tradeoffs and implications of system decisions before they become constraints.

Leadership & Team Growth

  • Act as the senior architectural authority for internal systems at HighLevel.
  • Mentor and guide systems administrators, analysts, and technical operators.
  • Build and lead a systems function over time as the role and company scale.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years experience owning or architecting enterprise internal systems in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Deep experience across multiple functional domains, including customer-facing teams, RevOps, HR, Finance, and Accounting systems.
  • Strong expertise in systems integration, APIs, middleware, data pipelines, and BI ecosystems.
  • Proven experience evaluating tools and vendors, including implementation effort estimation and TCO analysis.
  • Comfortable op erating as a senior decision-maker influencing tooling and architectural strategy.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes.

Experience/Education/Certifications Required:

  • Experience building or leading enterprise systems or business applications teams.
  • Familiarity with workforce management, forecasting, payroll-adjacent systems, or revenue analytics.
  • Experience driving system consolidation, re-architecture, or platform standardization at scale.
  • Strong partnership experience with Finance, Procurement, and Executive leadership.
