About the Role:HighLevel is looking for passionate SDET3 for its Full-time remote engineering team in India. You will be responsible for ensuring that the new releases we make for features, enhancements, or new products meet the strict standards of quality & consistency. The buck stops at you and you will have the final say on the correctness, reliability & consistency of our builds.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end quality across UI, APIs, integrations, and backend services
- Be deeply involved in feature kickoffs, design discussions, and architecture reviews, influencing quality early
- Build, maintain, and improve robust automation suites (UI/API) and internal QA tools to boost team efficiency
- Conduct performance, load, and scalability testing for critical features
- Debug complex issues in distributed/cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS)
- Ensure high automation coverage for new features while improving legacy coverage
- Monitor post-release feedback from support tickets, user reports, and community discussions, proactively addressing quality gaps
- Collaborate closely with developers, PMs, support, and other stakeholders, ensuring customer-centric testing
- Mentor and guide peers on automation best practices and efficient debugging (without formal management responsibilities).Persist as the final gatekeeper for quality, highlighting risks even under tight deadlines
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience testing web applications or B2B SaaS platforms
- Proven experience leading quality initiatives or mentoring peers, improving team efficiency
- Strong product sense with the ability to influence roadmap decisions
- Expertise in test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.) and building scalable suites
- Experience with API testing, performance/load validation, and scalable test design
- Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments
- Ability to debug complex distributed systems
- Deep understanding of architecture, databases, and integrations—beyond just functional testing
- Customer-centric approach—connecting support insights and real user needs to quality strategy
- Excellent communication skills for clear alignment with stakeholders
- Contributions to internal QA tools, shared libraries, or open-source test frameworks
