This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Inclusive Stakeholder Management (ISM) & ESG* to lead our efforts in embedding sustainability and responsible business practices across our operations. Reporting to the Director of Inclusive Stakeholder Management, this individual will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive positive impact and align with our corporate goals and values.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary ESG subject matter expert, driving the development and execution of ESG strategies, policies, and programs in alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate across departments to establish and manage cross-functional programs aimed at advancing ESG goals and driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners and operational sites to establish environmental goals and support the adoption of sustainable practices, fostering long-term benefits for both the company and the community.

Governance & Transparency

  • Manage ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards, with a particular focus on CSRD, SEC Climate Disclosures, CDP, GRI, SASB and TCFD. Being the resident in-house expert on current and emerging regulations.
  • Oversee the implementation of software solutions to streamline ESG data management and reporting processes, optimizing information flow across all project phases.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders to monitor and execute compliance requirements related to ESG issues, ensuring the company's activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Support initiatives to deepen Harley-Davidson’s commitment to human rights in our own workforce and in the supply chain.

Environmental Sustainability

  • Lead H-D’s annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and other environmental metrics inventory, leveraging a carbon accounting software.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive decarbonization roadmap strategy to reduce Harley Davidson's carbon footprint and mitigate climate change risks, including pursuing reduction strategies and renewable energy procurement.
  • Partner with cross functional areas including: Engineering, EHS, Operations, Facilities, Supply Management, Finance, Marketing, and other teams to develop and drive initiatives to progress Harley-Davidson toward our net-zero target.
  • Provide support for Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validation processes, ensuring alignment with global standards and best practices.

Inclusion & Belonging

  • Work collaboratively with leadership and stakeholders to develop and carry out corporate inclusion and belonging strategy and targets, translating diversity strategies into well-defined projects with focused deliverables, timelines and ROI.
  • Develop and participate in the implementation of projects and initiatives to increase Inclusion & Belonging across Harley-Davidson, including employees, suppliers, dealers, and customers.
  • Works closely with Talent & Employee Experience and HR teams with respect to data collection and reporting (internal and external).
  • Work with Harley-Davidson ERGs and Diversity Councils to drive and foster a welcoming and inclusive workplace for all employees.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, or related field required. Master's degree in Sustainability or management preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in ESG management or related field.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles, regulations and reporting frameworks (including but not limited to CSRD, GRI, SASB)
  • Strong preference for experience working in Workiva (ESG Platform).
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting and experience with developing and/or implementing decarbonization strategies.
  • Subject-matter expertise coupled with ability to work up, down and across the organization, including with executive leadership, connecting across functions and levels
  • Strategic thinking paired with excellent project planning and execution skills
  • Strong influence and collaboration skills and the ability to bring together multiple stakeholder groups effectively leveraging excellent communication skills and style for strong influence and advocacy with a positive, authentic, and inclusive approach
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity to assess and address issues and opportunities across stakeholders from employees to suppliers and customers (science, government, politics, stakeholder sentiment from investors to employees to dealers and customers, standards, NGOs/civil society priorities, etc.)

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
