H.B. Fuller’s Engineering Adhesives segment develops adhesive solutions for Durable Assembly – Footwear, Filter, General Industries and Textile; Electronics & Clean Energy – Electronics, New Energy, ePower and Storage; Mobility – Aerospace, Automotive, BTRS, RV and Bonding Agents. As these dynamic markets continue to change, and consumers demand lighter, safer, greener and more reliable products, we partner with our customers to deliver highly engineered solutions.

The Account Manager - Durable Assembly role is expected to grow and retain H.B. Fuller's market share and customer base in key market segments while achieving profit sales targets through both direct and distribution sales channels.

Northeast Territory – NY, VT, NH, ME, MA, RI, CT, PA, NJ, MD, DE

The ideal candidate will be based in Philadelphia PA, Newark NJ, or Boston MA

Primary Responsibilities

FRAMEWORK OF SUCCESS

  • Sales know-how for all stages of a sales cycle, from prospecting through post close.

  • Importance of time management and alignment with goals.

  • Drive increased sustainable sales revenue, maintain existing business, grow customer base, and minimize erosion.

  • Builder of relationships; internal, direct customers and our distribution partners.

CUSTOMER FOCUSED – CREATING VALUE

  • Drive customer intimacy by delivering H. B. Fuller’s value.

  • Be the conduit to the customer of our market leading superior expertise of adhesive applications through our numerous internal technical support members.

  • Be the strategic partner to our customers on key issues; raw material & supply trends and help the customer, integrate with their new projects and innovation.

  • Appreciates the value in providing superior customer service—the “Go-To” contact.

DEMONSTRATES FUNCTIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Strategic planner to accomplish focused annual sales & personal growth goals.

  • Understands competitive landscape and how to position H.B Fuller to help meet and exceed a customer’s needs.

  • Experienced in sales territory management and utilizes tools such as Salesforce and PowerBI.

SALES COMPETENCIES & BEHAVIORS

  • Winning sales technique & strategy and the ability to successfully call on various departments and levels within an organization.

  • Time management, prospecting, planning, negotiation and willingness to never stop growing

  • Understands the power of the team and knows how to effectively communicate to win internally and externally.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4-year college degree

  • 5 years of relevant sales experience; related industry and B2B experience

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

  • Determination and drive.

Preferred Requirements

  • Sales experience in the chemical and adhesive industry

  • Salesforce and PowerBI experience

This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Applicants must have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require H.B. Fuller sponsorship of a work visa to work for H.B. Fuller.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is a base of $90,000 - $95,000.
