Job Description
The Client Business Manager at Guidehealth supports client success by assisting with client onboarding, operational support, and service delivery. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients, health plans, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations, build strong relationships, and contribute to Guidehealth’s mission of advancing value-based healthcare. Under the guidance of senior team members, you’ll utilize data-driven tools to support delegated services and operational processes, helping to achieve measurable outcomes in shared and full-risk arrangements.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Working in a fully remote environment, engaging virtually with clients, health plans, and internal teams.
- Supporting client onboarding, operational support, and service delivery tasks as directed.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with client administrators, network providers, and management teams to support satisfaction and retention.
- Assisting with operational aspects of delegated services, including medical management operations (non-clinical), provider relations (if applicable), and network management.
- Supporting regulatory and contract compliance by preparing accurate and timely reports under guidance.
- Using Guidehealth’s applications to pull reports, analyze data, and resolve issues with support from senior team members.
- Assisting with eligibility, capitation processes, and reconciliations to ensure operational efficiency.
- Participating in projects, such as site consolidations or onboarding new clients, under the direction of senior staff.
- Tracking and reporting on operational metrics, identifying performance gaps with guidance.
- Communicating effectively with clients and internal teams to align on goals and expectations.
- Managing daily work using multiple systems, including EMR systems, payer portals, Guidehealth applications, and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Conducting regular check-ins and satisfaction reviews with clients, reporting outcomes to senior staff.
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver integrated services, ensuring consistency in client experience.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare, managed care, or a related field (entry-level candidates with relevant education considered).
- Experience supporting small to mid-size projects with a focus on results.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with guidance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and ability to learn multiple systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused personality.
- Ability to collaborate with management, co-workers, and clients.
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation (20% travel to Chicago required).
- Reside in Chicago area strongly preferred
WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE
- Experience in the health solutions industry, particularly with insurance claims or managed care.
- Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives or reporting in healthcare.
- Basic knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software or cloud platforms.
Additional Information
The salary for this role is $67,000 to $72,000 per year

COMPENSATION:
The listed compensation range listed is paid bi-weekly per our standard payroll practices. Final base pay decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.

REMOTE WORK TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Guidehealth is a fully remote company. We provide new employees with the necessary equipment to function in their role at no charge to the employee. Employees provide their own internet connection, capable of conducting video calls on camera and connecting to various internal and external systems. The recommended internet speed is a minimum of 50 mbps download, 10 mbps upload. Please consult with your internet provider or run a speed test here to confirm your internet connection meets these requirements.
