Senior Data and Experiment Analyst - Revenue Management [remote]

We are seeking a dedicated Data and Experiment Analyst who can provide significant contributions by manipulating complex data sets and conducting experiments to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business performance. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, statistical knowledge, and business acumen to identify opportunities, test hypotheses, and drive continuous improvement. The person who fills this role will play a key part in delivering strategic business insights and analytics in support of Groupon’s global results. This role is part of the pricing & promotion and search & relevance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Preparation: Collect, clean, and prepare data from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Develop data pipelines and processes for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Assist promotion and relevance analysts with complex data transformation requests

Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to uncover patterns, correlations, and insights in the data. Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze experiments, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, and regression analysis.

Experiment Design and Execution: Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the impact of business initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define experiment objectives, develop test plans, and set success metrics.

Data Visualization and Reporting: Create clear and compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders. Present analysis results in a structured and understandable manner to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Insights and Recommendations: Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis and experiment results. Provide strategic guidance and support to business stakeholders to optimize processes, improve performance, and achieve business objectives.

Desirable Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Advanced degrees (Masters) preferred

Minimum of 5+ years experience in data analysis, experimental design, and statistical modeling, preferably in a business or research environment.

Experience in commercial analytics (promotion/ecommerce marketing/sales/product analytics) is preferable

Experience with the Google Workplace Suite is a plus; expertise in spreadsheet analytics is a must

Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools, such as SQL, Python, SPARK

Experience with data platforms such as GCP is preferable

Knowledge of experimental design principles, hypothesis testing, and statistical inference techniques.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
