Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated, hungry and skilled Account Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in technology sales, ideally AI related, who is eager to drive the adoption of AI solutions across various industries. As an Account Executive, you will work closely with the Head of Sales and GTM to expand our client base, manage customer relationships, and achieve sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have helped bring new products to market and closed early customers at AI, ML or data infrastructure startups. You should have a history of over-achievement as an individual seller (Presidents Club, etc.) and must be comfortable selling complex technology into all levels of an organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Generate new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, and relationship building.
  • Do initial discovery as well as conduct presentations and demonstrations of Graft to potential clients.
  • Work closely with prospects to understand their business needs and propose customized AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions accurately address customer needs.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to closing deals and follow-up support.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.
  • Participate in sales and cross-functional meetings as well as industry conferences and events.

About You:

  • Ability to think from first-principles to build a playbook uniquely suited to Graft. It hasn’t yet been determined who owns AI infrastructure. We need someone who is curious and can get to the truth to position the product and present value.
  • Pipeline builder. This role will be all about sourcing and closing deals.
  • Solution selling + consultative approach in your approach to solving problems. We are building a category-defining platform and there is inherently a flavor of the Challenger sale in our pitch (teach, tailor, take control).
  • A critical thinker - you think strategically and you are highly analytical when it comes to breaking into new accounts and convincing buyers to consider buying a new, category defining product/platform.
  • Empathetic and can channel different points of view. You are able to establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly.
  • You are comfortable with a fast and evolving pace. This space moves very fast, so you’ll need to be adept at messaging and the way that you sell evolving very quickly, often on a month-to-month basis. The product and the landscape are changing quickly, and at the same time.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in technology sales (BDR and AE), preferably AI focused, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and their business applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment and adapt to rapid changes in the industry.
