Why does this role exist?This role is critical for ensuring the seamless development, maintenance, and transition of the client’s proprietary app built on the Wix platform. The company is undergoing a key personnel change, with their current marketing director (who has been managing app development) departing. They need a skilled, reliable specialist to take over app management and coding responsibilities, integrate and maintain Google Sheets and other third-party tools, and ensure uninterrupted functionality and ongoing improvements. The goal is to support client operations with a technically proficient part-time resource who can independently manage and enhance the app environment.
The Impact you’ll make
- Develop, update, and maintain the client’s web-based app on the Wix platform
- Implement coding solutions to enhance app functionality and user experience
- Ensure smooth integration between Wix apps and external tools like Google Sheets
- Manage and troubleshoot Google Sheets integrations with apps and websites
- Coordinate workflows involving Apple Developer and TestFlight for app testing and deployment
- Collaborate with the outgoing marketing director to understand existing app architecture and workflows
- Document processes and system configurations to ensure knowledge continuity
- Provide support during the transition to minimize disruption
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to the Wix platform and integrations
- Monitor app performance and recommend improvements or updates as needed
- Work closely with customer success managers and internal teams to understand evolving requirements
- Communicate progress and challenges clearly and proactively
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience developing and maintaining apps on the Wix platform
- Strong coding skills relevant to Wix app development and website-to-app conversion tools
- Demonstrated experience managing Google Sheets integrations with apps and websites
- Familiarity with Apple Developer and TestFlight environments
- Ability to work part-time (20 hours/week), Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 3 PM EST

- Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
- Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
- Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
- Back-up computer and internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
- Technical Skills: Wix app development, JavaScript and relevant coding languages, API and integration management, Google Sheets automation, familiarity with mobile app deployment tools
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication, self-motivated with the ability to work independently, detail-oriented, adaptable to evolving client needs
