Job Description Summary

The Instructional Designer and Content Developer role is responsible for working cross-functionally with a team of global experts to identify learning needs, acting as the lead for initiating, analyzing, planning, designing, and executing GE Healthcare learning solutions for Imaging products. The ideal candidate will work with stakeholders in the Commercial team to build and deliver world-class learning and development curriculum. They will have an understanding of adult learning, executive education, and experience with blended learning and creating online learning, and a perspective on programs and tools to leverage for the most impact. They will be an experienced in Instructional Design with technical and content creation skills.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Aggregate, evaluate, and apply existing training content for the purpose of building compelling, concise, and strategic commercial learning training courses.

  • Design, develop and maintain new content for commercial learning curriculum based on stakeholder’s feedback, while certifying that learning path objectives are aligned with regional needs.

  • Apply feedback to course and content design, and best practices and creativity to ensure best-in-class user learning experience.

  • Manage build cycles and project plans for global commercial imaging course development.

  • Align with region leaders and learning leaders to ensure training activation and consistency for all regions and modalities.

  • Cultivate strong connections with Imaging commercial leaders and employees to fully understand the knowledge, skills and behaviors employees need to acquire to align with business priorities.

  • Develop effective programs, execute programs, embed sustainability of learning, and demonstrate the learning ROI value with regular reported metrics and measures.

  • Work in collaboration with Imaging Business Leaders and Regional Learning Leaders to design and roll-out learning experiences for employees around the world.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years’ experience developing instructor-led, eLearning, or virtual training.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office/Teams software applications, Smartsheet, and Learning Management Systems (SumTotal).

  • Proficiency using eLearning development tools, such as PowerPoint, Articulate Rise 360, Captivate, and Camtasia.

  • Ability to work effectively from a remote home office location.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (Adobe Learning Manager and SumTotal).

  • Ability to connect across organizational boundaries to drive key initiatives and ensure learner engagement.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $100,800.00-$151,200.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
