The story of Galileo Global Education is one of ambitious growth and a vision to redefine higher education on a global scale. What began in 2011 with the acquisition of the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Italy by the American investment fund Providence Equity, has since blossomed into Europe's largest private higher education provider. This initial step was the cornerstone of a strategy to build a unique network of institutions, particularly in high-demand and innovative fields. The group's namesake, the great astronomer and physicist Galileo Galilei, reflects its core spirit of innovation and its mission to transform education by breaking down traditional barriers between disciplines, teaching methods, and geographical locations.

The journey of expansion was swift and strategic. Galileo Global Education grew by acquiring a diverse portfolio of schools across France, Germany, Mexico, and beyond. A significant milestone was the integration of Studialis, a prominent French higher education group, which broadened Galileo's footprint across management, IT, and the arts. This period of rapid growth culminated in a major transition in 2020 when Providence Equity sold its majority stake. A new consortium of investors, including Téthys Invest, the holding company of the Bettencourt-Meyers family, and Bpifrance, took the helm, ushering in a new era of development. Under this new leadership, Galileo has continued its dynamic expansion, acquiring Regent's University London, and making significant inroads into new markets and disciplines, such as healthcare and law, with acquisitions like IPETH in Mexico and the creation of new schools in France. Today, Galileo Global Education stands as a formidable force in the world of education, with a vast network of over 50 schools and nearly 100 campuses in more than 10 countries, dedicated to fostering employability and preparing students for the evolving demands of the global job market.
