Faria Education Group's journey began in 2006, founded at the University of Pennsylvania by three IB Diploma graduates. Initially, their focus was on simplifying CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) management for IB schools with the launch of CAS Manager. This early success paved the way for expansion, with the addition of functionalities for MYP Community & Service, Extended Essay, and Theory of Knowledge. Recognizing the broader needs of international schools, Faria soon introduced curriculum planning and assessment functions. A significant milestone was the launch of OpenApply, designed to create a paperless admissions office for the future, alongside the development of ManageBac for iOS, enhancing accessibility for educators and students on the go. The company fostered a strong sense of community by initiating ManageBac User Group Conferences, connecting schools globally.

As Faria continued to grow, its flagship product, ManageBac, surpassed 1,000 schools, with one in two IB Diploma students utilizing the platform. A key technological advancement was the direct integration with the IB eCoursework system, streamlining processes for schools. The company's global reach and service offerings expanded further with strategic acquisitions, including Wolsey Hall Oxford, CurriculumTrack, and SchoolsBuddy. This period also saw the launch of ManageBac PYP Next to support the enhanced Primary Years Programme and a redesigned ManageBac for mobile devices. Faria's commitment to providing comprehensive solutions led to the development of 'Curriculum First,' broadening support for IGCSE, A Levels, and Advanced Placement, and a migration to Amazon Web Services in Canada to bolster infrastructure. Today, Faria Education Group stands as a leader in international education systems, serving over 10,000 schools and 4 million students in more than 155 countries with an integrated suite of solutions covering learning, admissions, school-to-home communication, and online courses.
