Products Editor, Horse & Hound

Horse & Hound, the UK’s leading equestrian magazine and website, with 140-years of heritage, and trusted by its audience for quality, independent journalism, is looking for a Products Editor to join the editorial team.

What you'll be doing…

As Products Editor at Horse & Hound, you'll be creating buyers guides, product news, product reviews and supporting features that are accurate, engaging and help readers make the best buying decisions for themselves and their equines.

You'll have a love of horses and riding and an in-depth knowledge of equestrian products and services, excellent industry contacts and passion for this sector. With an eye for detail, proven writing expertise and thorough understanding of writing to engage both website and magazine audiences, you'll also be highly motivated, organised and able to work efficiently to deadlines.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

• A strong understanding of the horse world and in particular of products used by riders and horse owners.
• Experience of working on an equestrian publication is desirable (but not essential in new starters in this role).
• Strong magazine craft, including an understanding of how to tell a story and communicate complex information in words and/or pictures.
• Ability to think commercially.
• A commitment to quality and tireless dedication to improvement.
• Excellent contacts within the UK equestrian industry.
• A horse and horse sport enthusiast, with a strong knowledge of the sector, and the relevant trends, techniques and products that will be of interest to our readers.

The expected range for this role is £25,000 - £32,000.

This is a Remote based role.
