Senior IT Project Manager - Applications Carve out in Pharma

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join our team in Basel, Switzerland. This role will focus on managing complex application carve-out projects within our pharmaceutical organization. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in IT project management, a deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations, and a proven track record of successful application migrations.

• Lead and oversee large-scale IT projects, specifically focusing on application carve-outs in the pharmaceutical sector
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure timely delivery of services and products
• Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during application carve-outs
• Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and IT best practices throughout all project phases
• Continuously improve project management methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 7+ years of IT project management experience, focusing on application carve-out projects
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project and Jira
• Proven experience managing complex IT projects in a pharmaceutical environment, with in-depth understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and experience in vendor management
• Solid understanding of IT systems and applications used in the pharmaceutical industry
• PMP or Prince2 certification preferred
• Fluency in English
