Field Sales Manager Polyurethane (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize revenue and profitability in the assigned territory by meeting or exceeding budget targets, aligning with the European PU sales strategy

  • Develop and lead the sales team through recruitment, training, mentoring, and taking a leadership role in key European projects.

  • Manage key customer accounts, ensuring profitability and high service levels that exceed customer expectations

  • Gather market insights to support product development and maintain competitiveness in an evolving industry

  • Build strong relationships with co-suppliers and industry partners to gather intelligence on market opportunities and new technologies

  • Implement marketing communication programs in alignment with the European strategy

  • Provide regular reports on team performance, activities, and key market conditions to the European Business Director

Qualifications:

  • Sales management experience with strong knowledge of technical sales strategies and a proven track record of managing small sales teams

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and build long-term customer relationships

  • Experience in the PU market, with hands-on knowledge of PU processes and an understanding of customer needs in this sector

  • Technical degree preferred, ideally in a relevant field

  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of making sound, swift, and decisive decisions

  • Assertiveness and goal-orientation, with excellent business acumen, judgment, and a strong focus on action and results

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and high-level customer contacts

  • Ability to work in a multicultural, multi-lingual environment, adapting to diverse business cultures

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities, with the capacity to delegate effectively across different levels and functional groups within the company
