About the Role

We’re looking for our very first Technical Program Manager at Forma. As the first Technical Program Manager, you will help us create and manage programs and projects in the Engineering group at Forma: partnering with engineering and product stakeholders to plan and execute, driving delivery for key initiatives and cross-functional projects. In addition, you’ll be helping us create clarity across the organization by building processes and driving improvements in our existing processes. This opportunity will also allow you to define the scope of a Technical Program Manager at Forma.

You Will

• Partner with engineering and product stakeholders to plan and execute both large-scale programs and more tightly-scoped projects

• Help drive delivery for key initiative s and cross-functional projects

• Build efficient processes for ensuring timelines, objectives, and expectations are clearly set

• Ensure stakeholder alignment with set goals, and proactively identify and address risks and blockers

• Translate business requirements and customer needs into concrete engineering tasks

• Help identity service level objectives (SLOs), and help teams measure / achieve them

• Automate repetitive tasks

• Evaluate and identify bottlenecks; help improve both observability and scalability

Preferred Skills

• 8+ years of proven success managing technical programs in an software engineering environment

• Collaborative, creative, and detail-oriented

• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in a product-oriented environment, startup experience a plus!

• Familiar with web-based product environments, ideally having worked as a developer in the past
