As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you'll serve as the technical bridge between customers, Customer Success, and Engineering teams, diagnosing and resolving complex issues, and ensuring our systems run reliably in mission-critical environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Aviation Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Go, Powershell, or TypeScript
- Experience with flight networking systems (preferred in secure or regulated environments like aviation, law enforcement, or defense).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems, especially involving hardware/software integration in field environments.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination with non-technical aviation stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems, integrations, and APIs.
- Proficiency in querying and analyzing data (SQL).
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Grafana, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, routing).
- Prior client-facing or consulting experience in aviation, law enforcement, defense, or critical infrastructure.
- Driven by impact and mission readiness. Able to jump in when customers or field systems need critical support, even outside normal hours.
- Knowledge of aviation drone standards, such as FAA Part 107.
