Our journey began when our CEO and co-founder, Jin Chang, experienced firsthand the burnout and inefficiencies prevalent in the profession during his time at a Big Four accounting firm. Teaming up with Chris Szymansky, our CTO and co-founder whom he met at legal AI startup Atrium, they set out to reimagine workflows for auditors. We saw a clear opportunity to leverage AI to address the growing imbalance between the high demand for accounting services and the shrinking supply of accounting graduates and CPAs. Our purpose at Fieldguide is to improve the lives of these dedicated professionals – the very people who facilitate trust in commerce and capital markets.
