The impact was profound; by 1995, major entities like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac began using FICO® Scores to determine mortgage eligibility, solidifying its role in the American lending landscape. Over the decades, FICO, which officially changed its name to Fair Isaac Corporation in 2003, has continued to innovate, expanding its offerings beyond credit scoring to a comprehensive suite of analytics software and tools.
