Back-End developer

We are searching for a Back-End developer to join our team in Ensenada, Mexico, who has experience building back-end services in Node.js and managing data exchange between the server and user-facing applications. Responsibilities will include the development of back-end logic. and maintaining the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. You will work closely with the front-end developers to implement their components into the application. This is a fully remote position.

Essential Functions:

• Creating and maintaining server-side application logic
• Collaborate with front-end developers on combining their front-end elements and components with the server side
• Write high quality, readable and testable code
• Design and optimize applications for high performance, high availability and low latency
• Incorporate data storage solutions like PostgreSQL or MYSQL or any NOSQL DB’s.
• Work with various serverless services like Lambda, SQS or DynamoDB to build backend services preferably in AWS
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in computer science engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 to 5 years prior experience
• Have good understanding of JavaScript
• Working knowledge of building API’s and how to consume third party API’s.
• Proficiency with databases and pragmatically modelling business processes through schema
• Understanding of automated unit tests and testing platforms and how to implement and integrate them
• Thorough knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
• Lean software deployment and agile software development experience.
• Some familiarity with Serverless environments, preferably AWS.
