Environment Bank is dedicated to addressing the escalating issues of biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse through innovative solutions aimed at nature recovery. As the leading provider of off-site Biodiversity Units, Environment Bank plays a crucial role in combating biodiversity loss by utilizing thousands of acres of habitat creation. The organization collaborates closely with landowners, farmers, developers, and government bodies to ensure effective implementation of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) legislation while facilitating corporate natural capital markets.

Since its inception in 2006, Environment Bank has pioneered the concept of Biodiversity Net Gain in the UK. The organization generates high-integrity off-site Biodiversity Units and Nature Shares through a national network of Habitat Banks. These initiatives provide essential opportunities for landowners to secure long-term income while simultaneously supporting environmental sustainability efforts. By becoming an integral partner in biodiversity improvement projects, Environment Bank empowers various stakeholders, including top house builders and commercial developers, to achieve their ecological goals. Furthermore, the organization is committed to ongoing investments in landscape-scale recovery sites and collaborative efforts aimed at promoting nature-based solutions to address pressing environmental challenges.
