United States onlyENTRUST Solutions Group is looking for a Sr. Civil Engineer with specialized experience in hydropower facilities and dam safety. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in dam safety evaluations, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, structural assessments, and regulatory compliance for FERC-licensed projects.
Requirements
- Serve as a key player for FERC Part 12D inspections and Comprehensive Assessments.
- Conduct dam safety evaluations in accordance with guidelines from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) or State Agencies.
- Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling, including spillway capacity and PMF evaluations.
- Conduct structural and geotechnical analyses of dam structures, hydraulic gates, embankment, concrete, and appurtenant structures.
- Develop recommendations for dam rehabilitation, stability improvements, seepage mitigation, and spillway upgrades.
- Lead design of new and/or rehabilitation of hydraulic structures, dams, spillways, gates, retaining walls, water conveyance structures, foundations.
- Lead technical development, licensing, and compliance efforts for hydroelectric projects with FERC and/or State Agencies.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, owners, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, inspection documentation, and regulatory filings.
- Provide construction support services including submittal review, site inspections, and quality assurance.
- Attend client meetings (both virtually and in-person).
- Travel as required but not expected to exceed 25%.
