Over the decades, this small leasing business evolved dramatically. It expanded from its 'home city' rental focus, catering to customers whose cars were in for repair, to establishing a major presence at airports worldwide. A pivotal moment in its journey was the 2007 acquisition of the Vanguard Car Rental Group, which brought the National Car Rental and Alamo Rent a Car brands under its umbrella. This strategic move solidified its position as a true powerhouse in the rental industry. In 2023, to better reflect its vast and diverse portfolio of services—which now spans car rental, fleet management, car sharing, vanpooling, truck rental, and sophisticated technology solutions—the company rebranded from Enterprise Holdings to Enterprise Mobility. Today, with a global team of over 90,000, a fleet of more than 2.3 million vehicles, and a presence in over 90 countries, Enterprise Mobility continues to advance the world, one journey at a time, staying true to the family-owned values and community-focused principles it was founded on over 65 years ago.
