About the role:

Okay, we’ve waffled long enough. So let’s get to the good bit: You.

Elvie is on an exciting journey and we’re looking for an experienced Paralegal to join us for a fixed term of 6 months.

As a Paralegal, your role will sit within our small but mighty Legal Team. You’ll be supporting them on all legal matters such as reviewing contracts, supporting our customer care and operations teams, improving legal process and research -to name a few. Due to the nature of our business, you’ll have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a variety of different areas across multiple jurisdictions, from hardware and software development to procurement and marketing.

Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our Bristol or London office & working remotely

Employment type: FTC (6 months) (please note, you must have the right to work in the UK)

Requirements

What you’ll be doing at Elvie:

• Provide general legal support, including contract review and management, updating and maintaining templates, maintaining corporate entities and formalities and helping to triage legal questions
• Review and negotiate a variety of contracts such as confidentiality agreements, marketing agreements and services/supply agreements
• Developing and implementing efficiencies across our legal and compliance processes, including our know how and filing system
• Addressing day-to-day queries from across the business, whether from our Product team, Commercial teams or our Operations teams
• Collaborate with other teams and external counsel as required and assist with monitoring legal spend and invoice management
• Provide administration support including execution and filing of contracts

What we are looking for:

• Undergraduate Degree
• A minimum of two years’ Paralegal experience
• Someone who works with initiative

• A stickler for accuracy - you care about the small details
• Someone who’s happiest when organised and process-driven
• You thrive when collaborating with others and are able to communicate effectively internally and externally
• Experience working within a tech start-up/scale-up would be beneficial

• 30-minute video call with one of our recruiters
• 30-45 minute video call with the hiring manager
• 45-60 minute video interview with the team (some positions may require you to complete a task/presentation)
• For some positions, there may be an additional interview with one of our senior leadership team
