Elm AI is a New York-based AI startup that provides an agent-first platform for automating supplier due diligence and responsible sourcing processes, helping enterprises improve supply chain sustainability and performance.

About Elm AI

About us

At Elm AI, we’re rebuilding supplier operations for an agent-first world.

We believe the next generation of enterprise software will not be passive systems of record. It will be made up of agents that stay live inside important workflows: understanding context, coordinating action, and keeping critical work moving even when teams are offline.

That is what Elm is building. Our agents operate across responsible sourcing and supplier operations, helping companies manage audit review, corrective actions, supplier follow-through, remediation, and the broader execution layer around supplier relationships. Rather than waiting for someone to log in and push a process forward, Elm’s agents keep workflows active, current, and in motion.

This is not a future concept. Elm’s agents are already deployed in production with major consumer brands, supporting supplier programs that span several thousand factories and some of the most operationally complex environments in the market. Our customers include multi-billion-dollar brands, and our ambition is much larger: to build the agent-first operating layer for how global supplier work gets done.

Team background & Culture

Elm is built by a deeply ambitious team with experience across AI systems, supply chains, and real enterprise operations. We’ve worked with major brands in complex operating environments, and we’re backed by top investors who understand the scale of what agent-first software can become.

We’ve intentionally built Elm around a certain kind of person: high-agency, AI-native, independent-minded, and obsessed with building. A lot of us are hackers and tinkerers by instinct. We like moving fast, chasing hard ideas, and working from first principles while trying to not always re-invent the wheel.

People here are given a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility. We want teammates who are excited by ownership, who care about craft, and who want to help build a company that feels both technically serious and unusually alive.

The kind of people who tend to thrive at Elm

The people who thrive here are usually already building long before anyone asks them to. They tend to have a personal website, blog, or some corner of the internet where they write and develop a point of view. Their GitHub is often full of side projects, experiments, prototypes, and open source work. They are usually the kind of people who try new models and tools early, build things for fun, and care deeply about both product quality and technical depth.

They also tend to create their own opportunities. Instead of doing only what was specified, they notice what could become more useful, more reusable, more elegant, or more leveraged — and they move toward that. Work that compounds is valued more than just completing a task.

They are thoughtful writers, strong builders, and independent-minded collaborators. They care about speed, but not at the expense of craft. They care about quality, but don’t confuse complexity with excellence. They are energized by ambiguity, comfortable with ownership, and excited by the chance to help invent a new category with other sharp, ambitious people
