Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with strong experience in Total Rewards to join our growing, dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about managing core HR programs, coaching, employee development, and problem solving across the organization. This position will provide leadership and partnership to the leaders in the assigned business groups on successful talent strategies, providing business insights through data driven analytics and drive proactive organizational design and development, leading to superior talent acquisition and employee engagement. This role ensures the effective delivery of all people programs and services within the business groups. The Director, HR maintains an effective level of business literacy about the organization’s financial position, its plans, and its culture. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the company business strategy and objectives by helping business leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
- Help leaders to provide employees with development opportunities and ensure that they can meet current and future KPIs/OKRs.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Ensure efficient budgets are developed with finance and monitor results with functional teams
- Participate in functional staff meetings and strategy sessions
- Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders, managers, employees as appropriate
- Deliver learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR objectives, initiatives, and policies.
- Identify and drive the communication and sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Identify new opportunities where HR can add value to the business.
- Maintain knowledge of progressive and innovative HR practices and trends.
- Facilitate a strong leadership and coaching culture throughout the organization.
- Provide performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Work closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement and retention.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR Analytics to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the Legal Team as needed/required.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Partner with the CHRO to lead the organization through regular compensation benchmarking cycles to analyze and assess market data, industry trends, and standard methodologies to maintain market competitive reward packages.
- Work closely with Recruiting, and business leaders on compensation for new hires, promotions, transfers, and ongoing job leveling, allowing for dynamic changes as the market demands and ensuring internal equity
- Lead the bi-annual performance review and compensation processes by working closely with the HR Operations team and business leaders to deliver an equitable and streamlined process
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR business partner experience
- Mid-size public company experience in a fast-paced, technology company is a plus
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation, employee relations, performance management and talent development

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS related software (intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel is required)
- Demonstrated sound judgment, ability to apply depth of knowledge and experience in solving complex challenges/making recommendations where no precedent may exist
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal/presentation)
- The ability to assess and anticipate the HR needs of employees and leaders
- Detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel on an ongoing basis

Pay Range (How much might you earn in your base salary?)
$180,000 - $220,000 (annually)
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per CA SB 1162 (“CA Pay Transparency Law”). Base pay information is based on market location. This position may also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance.
