The Tax Controversy and Audit Management team is looking for a Senior Manager to help lead and manage our U.S. federal, state and international income tax audits/controversies. This role will report to the Director of Transfer Pricing and Tax Controversy, and will be an integral part of the broader DoorDash tax team. The primary responsibility will be the daily management of our global income tax audits and related controversy matters.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a government (IRS), law firm, Big 4 accounting firm, or corporate tax role with leading and managing income tax controversy and audit matters, as well as experience with income tax provision (ASC 740) and/or income tax compliance, with the ideal candidate having technology industry experience.
- Particular expertise in IRS audit procedures and practices, with a strong track record of managing audits, exams, Appeals and settlements.
- Familiarity with US tax implications of international operations, including local statutory to GAAP adjustments.
- Experience with state income/franchise tax, sales and use tax, gross receipts taxes, and related state-level issues, along with strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Began to utilize artificial intelligence tools.
- Excel modeling experience.
- Experience with tax provision software.
- Meticulous in preparing and reviewing work product.
- Analytical and organized in approach to project-management and resolving obstacles in workstreams.
- Roll up sleeves and do whatever is necessary to drive results, even if it's outside normal areas of focus.
- Approach role with strong moral compass and integrity.
