What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for understanding complex problems in the productivity space and supporting end-to-end researcher workflows across both academic and corporate settings.
- User Focus: Craft impactful AI-supported experiences for individual researchers.
- Workflow Design: Support end-to-end researcher workflows, focusing on problems related to search and discovery, academic writing, and knowledge management.
- Discovery Leadership: You will own the product discovery process, leading to actionable insights. This includes utilizing a wide range of quantitative and qualitative methods to achieve fast time to insight.
- Research Execution: You will independently conduct qualitative and quantitative product discovery activities and facilitate co-creation workshops with senior stakeholders, leading to data-informed design decisions.
- Collaboration and Clarity:Partner and efficiently collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing peers in cross-functional squads. Bring clarity to ambiguous design problems using conceptual design, experience mapping, and information architecture.
- Design Execution: Produce engineering ready systematic design using modern tools, rapidly prototype, co-create, and iteratively evaluate product experiences that are pragmatic and simple.
What you’ll bring to the role
- UX Strategy: Experience in delivering strategic and impactful UX work on complex SaaS web applications in productivity, AI, or scientific domains.
- Research Depth:Proficiency in a range of generative and evaluative user research methods, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and analytics analysis, along with the ability to select the right method for the research question.
- Process Ownership: Ability to own an end-to-end human-centred design process, from discovery to impact evaluation, working independently or in partnership with other designers.
- AI Curiosity: Curiosity and interest in agentic experiences and leveraging AI within design, in a responsible manner.
- Prototyping & Standards: Ability to do rapid interactive prototyping in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and a firm understanding and application of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2AA).
- Communication: Clear visual communication and storytelling skills to communicate design rationale to the team and leadership.
- Strategic Focus: Ability to strategically balance scope, speed and quality for the best outcomes.
- Collaborative Ethos: A collaborative, humble and consultative “maker” mindset.
