Meet the team:

Join our dynamic IT department as aNetwork Engineer Level 3 ! This senior-level role is crucial in providing technical support and expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of desktop and end-user computing environments. If you're passionate about network design and planning, and enjoy solving complex issues, you'll thrive in our collaborative and innovative team.

Where you come in:

  • Youdesign and plan network architecture based on organizational requirements.
  • Youplan and configure network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
  • Youdetermine network capacity and scalability needs.
  • Youinstall and configure networking hardware and software.
  • Youset up and maintain IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Youdeploy security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Youmonitor network performance and identify bottlenecks or issues.
  • Youperform regular maintenance tasks, updates, and patches to ensure network stability.
  • Youtroubleshoot network outages, connectivity problems, and security breaches.
  • Youimplement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Youstay updated with security best practices and industry standards.
  • Youensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies related to network security and data privacy.
  • Youanalyze network traffic patterns and optimize network performance.
  • Youimplement Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize network traffic based on business needs.
  • Yourecommend and implement network upgrades to meet changing demands.
  • Youwork closely with cross-functional teams to understand network requirements.
  • Youcollaborate with system administrators, software developers, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of network services.
  • Youmaintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Youcreate documentation for network standards and guidelines.
  • Youestablish exceptional relationships with various departments, consultants, external agencies, and leadership, resulting in increased process efficiency, improved communication, and reduced cycle time.
  • Youutilize various sources of data to analyze, suggest opportunities for process improvements, and implement system changes throughout the team.
  • Youmaintain a collaborative and productive working relationship with your peers.
  • Youachieve service level goals and quality targets, managing and coaching employees to department performance standards.
  • Youadhere to change control processes and procedures.
  • Youaccurately document and communicate instances of system failures, repairs, installations, or changes.
  • Youprovide ongoing support and guidance, including taking escalation calls.
  • Youimplement, communicate, and interpret new and existing policies and procedures to staff members.
  • Youassume and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Youmeet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual department metrics.

What makes you successful:

  • Youhave several years of experience in Network Engineering or a related role, with a focus on troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Youpossess strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Yoursubject matter expertise in networking technologies is exceptional.
  • Yourdeep understanding of Networking technology, TCP/IP, Cisco and/or Extreme Routing/Switching/WiFi is crucial.
  • Youhave a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Yourprofessional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP are highly desirable.
  • Yourproficiency in network hardware and software configuration is excellent.
  • Yourexperience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques is solid.
  • Yourknowledge of network security principles and best practices is strong.
  • Yourdeep understanding of an ITIL compliant environment, and experience with ServiceNow for all aspects of this, is essential.
  • Yourexperience with routers, TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, and server-client relationships is important. Cisco and/or Extreme certifications are desirable.
  • Youare fluent in English, both written and oral communication.
  • Yourverbal and written communication skills, including effective listening skills and the ability to communicate accurately and effectively in person, over the telephone, through email, and other business correspondence, are excellent.
  • Youhave proven capability to handle challenging situations, a positive attitude with passion and drive.
  • Youshow aptitude, initiative, follow-through, and have strong project management skills.
