Internship Department Details:

• Department Name: Data Platform Test Engineering

• Business Function: Software R&D

• Team Highlights: Our team develops automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure the reliability and performance of Dexcom’s software systems. We work closely with software engineers and quality teams to validate backend services and APIs, primarily using Python-based solutions.

Where you come in:

• You will support Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) by contributing to backend test automation efforts.

• You will write and maintain Python scripts to validate APIs, services, and data pipelines.

• You have familiarity with and the ability to utilize AI tools to accelerate and augment your day-to-day work—from generating tests and maintaining automated test suites to surfacing insights from bugs and data anomalies.

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and ensure robust test design.

What makes you successful:

• You have experience or coursework in Python programming.

• You are familiar with backend technologies such as REST APIs, databases, or cloud services.

• You bring a detail-oriented mindset and a passion for quality assurance.

• Your ability to learn quickly and work independently makes you a strong contributor in a fast-paced environment.

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Requires a high school diploma/certificate or equivalent.

• Must be a currently enrolled student at an accredited college or university in a STEM discipline with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.

Non-Exempt Salary Details:

The annualized base salary range for this role is $27.00 to $29.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
