The VDI Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtual desktop infrastructure solutions for clients. The consultant will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop virtual desktop solutions that meet those needs. The consultant will also provide technical support and troubleshooting for virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Design and implement virtual desktop infrastructure solutions for DTS's clients.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Ensure the virtual desktop infrastructure is secure and meets compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation for virtual desktop infrastructure solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to virtual desktop infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of deep experience and strong hands-on designing and implementing virtual desktop infrastructure solutions.
- Deep experience with the following virtualization technologies: Microsoft, VMware, and/or Citrix.
- VDI Solution Design, Sizing & Implementation on both Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and VMware Horizon VDI and Cloud VDI.
- Experience with the Environment Management using VMware Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM)
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager for managing and securing Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Knowledge of implementing VMWare Workspace One and Microsoft Intune.
- Knowledge of networking and storage technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills and Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Requirements:
- Certification in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Microsoft or Citrix.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements related to virtual desktop infrastructure.
- VDI troubleshooting issues and real-time monitoring.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Knowledge of VDI Hardware and Software Procurement.
- French or German professional language capability is a plus.
