Job Description

The Technical Enablement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that equip our sales engineers with the technical knowledge, skills, and tools they need to succeed. This includes collaborating with sales leadership, sales engineers, product management, engineering, and other key stakeholders to identify needs, create impactful programs, and measure their effectiveness. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical sales cycle, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales leadership and sales engineers to identify key performance gaps and develop targeted enablement initiatives to address them.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs and content, including technical sales playbooks, product training, competitive battle cards, demo scripts, and technical best practices.
  • Manage and maintain the sales enablement platform, ensuring content is easily accessible, up-to-date, and effectively utilized by the sales engineering team.
  • Develop and implement sales engineer onboarding programs to accelerate ramp-up time for new hires.
  • Partner with product and engineering to ensure alignment of technical messaging and content.
  • Analyze sales engineer performance data and gather feedback from sales engineers to continuously improve enablement programs and measure their impact on revenue.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer needs to inform enablement strategies.
  • Manage budget and resources effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with sales engineers and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to sales leadership and other stakeholders on enablement initiatives and results.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales enablement, sales engineering, or a related field, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of the technical sales cycle and solution selling methodologies.
  • Experience designing and delivering effective technical training programs and content.
  • Proficiency in using sales enablement platforms and other sales technology tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, including engineering, product, and technical sales.
  • Data-driven approach to measuring and improving program effectiveness.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of the data storage industry and high-performance computing is a plus.
