The DCX Home-Based Senior Accountant will oversee and perform a range of accounting tasks within the organization. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed financial reports, conducting thorough account reconciliations, maintaining and updating the general ledger, and preparing tax returns. Additionally, you will assist in audit preparations and handle other assigned accounting duties. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to lead and mentor junior team members. The role will be vital in managing and executing various accounting functions to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and compliance with financial regulations. Furthermore, you will be expected to identify and implement process improvements, provide insights during budgeting and forecasting activities, and collaborate closely with other departments to support the organization’s financial objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Financial Reporting: Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure all financial information is reported accurately and on time. Assist in creating budgets and financial forecasts. Perform variance analysis and present findings to management.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Review and post journal entries with proper documentation and accuracy. Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards. Coordinate and manage external audits, providing necessary documentation. Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments. Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Taxation: Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax returns. Stay informed about changes in tax regulations to ensure compliance. Assist with tax planning and strategy development.
Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed by management. Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and train junior accounting staff. Offer guidance and support to the accounting team. Promote a collaborative and productive team environment. Ad hoc tasks aligned with those mentioned above.
Process Improvement: Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and enhance accounting methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommendations and improve operational efficiency and compliance.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
Experience: Must have four (4) to six (6) years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable/ Receivables and/or General Accounting experience or equivalent.
License/ Certification: Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Language Proficiency: Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in most Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software. Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Industry-Specific Software/Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.
Knowledgeable using accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other relevant software.
Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
In-depth understanding of US and PH accounting principles and standards. Knowledge of data and financial modeling is a plus.
Previous working experience as an offshore staff is highly advantageous.
