Role Overview
We are looking for a forward-thinking DevOps / Cloud Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain our next-generation automated cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our GitHub-based workflows, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient operations on the AWS stack. Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Leadership: Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Workflows to streamline build and deployment processes.
- Infrastructure Automation: Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), focusing on scalability and optimization.
- AWS Operations: Deploy and operate cloud-native applications within the AWS ecosystem, ensuring high availability and peak performance.
- Process Engineering: Automate operational tasks and Change Management processes to reduce manual intervention and improve delivery speed.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with Dev, Sec, and Ops teams to implement Shift-Left strategies and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Resilience & Security: Contribute to cloud security posture, resilience testing (FIS), and disaster recovery strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have (Technical Essentials):
- GitHub Expert: Deep experience with GitHub Actions and complex GitHub Workflows.
- AWS Mastery: Solid hands-on knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Networking) and cloud-native deployments.
- Build Automation: Proven track record in managing automated build environments and CI/CD-driven lifecycles.
Should-Have (Preferred Skills):
- IaC: Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- App Dev Context: Experience with API development/integration using Java, Maven, and Spring Boot.
- Serverless: Expertise in AWS Lambda, specifically for Python-based automation scripts.
- Architecture: Clear understanding of cloud-native application patterns and microservices.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points):
- Internal Platforms: Familiarity with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
- ITSM Integration: Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with ServiceNow for automated Change Management.
- Advanced Security: Background in Cybersecurity or proactive security measures (DevSecOps).
- Chaos Engineering: Knowledge of resilience frameworks and AWS FIS (Fault Injection Simulator).
