Summary

The Product Engineer provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products. to lead, innovate, problem-solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the sales staff in assessing the potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions
  • Support building a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate the feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for the client
  • Provides software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation
  • Ensures that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications
  • Provides follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications
  • Perform duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2 years of related experience in Account Management or Sales in a technology-related environment
  • Experience with B2B is a plus
  • Print related eCommerce applications preferred
  • Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
  • Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality, and timeliness of work
  • Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely, and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner
  • Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem-solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization
  • Support and meet company/department goals and core values

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer, and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
