Intern Associate Project Manager

Responsibilities:

The Associate Project Manager acts as a client ambassador on the behalf of CrucialLogics, ensuring customer satisfaction through the effective, profitable, and consistent delivery methodology of projects. You will work closely with senior project managers to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.

Your key responsibilities are:

•Direct and manage your project delivery from beginning to end. Assist other Project Managers with the delivery of their projects, to build your experience and learn the skills needed to run your own.

•Ensure accurate and timely execution of project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

•Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Seek assistance from Project Managers on how to improve your project plans.

•Effectively communicate your project expectations to the project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

•Liaise with your project sponsor and project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

•Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project deliverables.

•Where required, negotiate with other managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.

•Control the financial budget of the project and report and discrepancies.

•Create and regularly update a CRAID log (Changes, Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions). Report the weekly changes, in writing, and manage expectations.

•Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitment if necessary, during the project cycle.

•Continuously manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

•Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

•Identify and resolve your issues and conflicts throughout the project.

•Identify and manage your project dependencies and critical paths.

•Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

•Monitor and track your project milestones and deliverables.

•Develop and deliver weekly progress status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

•Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

•Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Prevent changes in scope that are not formally agreed to through a Project Change Request.

•Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.

•Motivate and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

•Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

•Conduct project post-mortems and create a Lessons Learned recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

•Work with the Resourcing Manager to recruit team members for the project.

•Additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager

Position Requirements:

•Currently enrolled or recently completed a University degree, college diploma or demonstrable experience in the field of Information Technology.

•4-5 years direct work experience in IT field and prefer candidates with project management background, including all aspects of process development and execution.

•Multiple operating systems experience.

•Competent and proficient understanding of virtualization and networking technologies.

•Demonstrated experience in personnel management.

•Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

•Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

•Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.

•Flexible during times of change.

•Ability to read the communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

•Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.

•Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.

•Ability to defuse tension among your project team, should it arise.

•Ability to bring your project to successful completion through political sensitivity.

•Strong written and oral communication skills.

•Sound decision-making skills.

•Effective interpersonal skills.

•Strong negotiation skills.

•Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.

•Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

•Customer service skills are an asset.

•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial

•Working towards Certified Associate Project Management Designation (CAPM/PMP)

•Demonstrate consistent dependability by reliably meeting deadlines, proactively addressing challenges, and serving as a trusted point of accountability for project stakeholders.

Work Conditions:

• Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines

• Able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings

• Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management
