VP, Client Strategy at Cro Metrics

The role

Cro Metrics is hiring a VP, Client Strategy to lead our Integrated Growth Strategy team and own client success across a portfolio. This leader will be accountable for client health, retention, and expansion while scaling a one-firm, integrated strategy for our clients. You’ll build and develop a high-performing team, set operating standards, and drive adoption of AI workflows that improve speed, quality, and consistency across delivery.

This is a senior leadership role requiring executive presence in a remote environment, where the ability to drive priorities forward,make clear decisions quickly and communicate them crisply is a foundation for success.

What you will be accountable for (top priorities)

1) Client portfolio ownership (health, retention, expansion)

  • Own client health across a portfolio: proactively surface risk, drive mitigations, and prevent delivery breakdowns.
  • Strengthen senior stakeholder relationships through clear outcomes, crisp communication, and consistent follow-through.
  • Drive renewals and expansions by translating results into a confident growth plan and roadmap.

2) Scale a repeatable integrated capability, including AI workflow adoption

  • Build the operating system for Integrated Growth Strategy that elevates and orchestrates across channels: standards, playbooks, templates, and repeatable delivery approaches.
  • Lead AI adoption across the team by integrating AI workflows into planning, analysis, insight generation, documentation, and performance storytelling.
  • Improve speed, quality, and consistency across accounts while maintaining strategic rigor.

3) Lead and develop a high-performing team

  • Hire, coach, and retain Integrated Growth Strategists and Paid Media SMEs.
  • Set clear expectations for quality, client impact, and ownership.
  • Build a culture of accountability, strong client partnership, and sustainable performance in a remote environment.

4) Executive presence in a remote environment

  • Make hard calls quickly, communicate them clearly, and drive alignment across clients and internal teams.
  • Write and operate with clarity: context, decision, rationale, owners, and deadlines.
  • Run a disciplined operating cadence (client and internal) that creates momentum and eliminates ambiguity.

What success looks like (6 to 12 months)

  • Client Portfolio is stable and predictable: risks are identified early, delivery is consistent, and escalations decrease.
  • Retention and expansion improve because see tangible outcomes, have a strong relationship with you and the team, have clear forward plans, and we have earned client trust.
  • The IGS team is stronger: improved client impact, high bar for quality, better leverage of SMEs.
  • AI workflows are adopted across IGS, reducing cycle time and improving quality and consistency.
  • A scalable operating model is in place that: delivers client outcomes, leverages AI, systems & process, accounts for the right staffing needs and delivers target margin

Requirements

  • Deep experience leading and growing an integrated client portfolios with senior stakeholders (e.g., VP, SVP, C-suite) across the digital landscape preferably in an agency
  • Demonstrated success scaling an integrated capability
  • Strong people leader: hiring, team development, performance management, and culture building in remote environments.
  • Operational fluency: staffing models, margin management, prioritization, governance, and delivery excellence.
  • Ability to drive AI workflow adoption in a team environment (practical, operational, and measurable).
  • Strong written communication and decisive leadership.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

  • Direct new business origination or pitch leadership experience
  • Measurement understanding (attribution/experimentation)
