About the role...

As an Accounts Quality Reviewer - BS&O, you’ll focus on reviewing statutory financial statements & working papers, prepared by the Accounts Pod, for BS&O engagements, ensuring accuracy, technical compliance, and readiness for onshore teams ahead of client meetings and delivery.

This role sits firmly within our Business Services & Outsourcing offering, supporting the delivery of high-quality accounts and supporting working papers across multiple client types - from owner-managed businesses to growing groups. Your focus will be on ensuring outputs are accurate, consistent, and technically compliant, while being practical and fit for purpose for client use.

A key part of this role is overseeing the technical accuracy and quality of outputs, ensuring all adjustments are justified and required and ensuring UK GAAP and Companies Act compliant.

About the day to day…

You'll be getting stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including;

  • Reviewing statutory financial statements prepared under FRS 102/FRS 102 1A
  • Reviewing supporting working papers to ensure they are clear, complete, and client-ready
  • Ensuring balances are fully supported and reconciled to underlying records
  • Checking disclosures and presentation for accuracy and consistency
  • Applying a practical, commercial approach to financial reporting
  • Providing clear, actionable feedback to preparers to enable continuous improvement of service
  • Working closely with the Accounts Pod and onshore teams to support delivery in a streamlined, pro-active manner.
  • Identifying recurring issues and support improvements in templates and processes
  • Ensuring outputs are suitable for client use, tax compliance, and future periods

In addition to those core values, as a Audit Accounts Quality Reviewer you should have;

  • CA (SA) qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102, and consolidation accounting
  • Proven ability to oversee and ensure the quality of complex financial reporting deliverables
  • Proficient in drafting financial statements in Caseware
  • Previous experience in a management accounting and balance sheet reconciliations (desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of debits, credits and accounting adjustments.
  • Previous experience using Inflo to obtain Client information (desirable)
  • Ability to identify technical disclosure issues
  • Previous bookkeeping or financial statement preparation & review experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with remote or international teams (desirable)
  • UK tax experience is advantageous
