Constructor powers product search and discovery for some of the largest retailers in the world, like Sephora and Petco. We serve billions of requests every day, and you’ve probably seen our results somewhere and used our product without knowing it. We differentiate ourselves by focusing on metrics over features, and reinventing search and discovery from the ground up as a machine learning challenge with the specific goal of improving metrics like revenue. We have grown several hundred percent YoY for the last 2 years and have customers in every eCommerce vertical, around the world, and spanning many languages.

We’re a passionate team of technologists who love solving problems and want to make our customers’ and coworkers’ lives better. We value empathy, openness, curiosity, continuous improvement, and are excited by metrics that matter. We believe that empowering everyone in a company to do what they think is best can lead to great things.

Requirements

Constructor is dedicated to empowering businesses with cutting-edge product discovery solutions that drive business metrics. Our platform leverages advanced AI and machine learning technologies to deliver personalized and attractive experiences across the entire customer journey.

As a Director of Product at Constructor, you will be responsible for owning the vision and strategy for the Merchandiser Experience portfolio and playing a key role in how our customers experience Constructor’s products first hand. This includes setting a product vision and strategy to enhance user experience and business metrics/outcomes that will influence individual team’s goals and initiatives. You will work with the Product Managers in your team to help provide guidance and alignment in achieving company, portfolio and team level goals and objectives. In this role, you will also be involved in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive critical strategic initiatives that involve our customer-facing dashboard. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a customer advocate, and a skilled communicator, capable of shaping the future of our platform and making a significant impact on our users' experience.

Day-to-day you will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the Merchandiser Experience portfolio, ensuring it aligns with the company's vision, goals, and customer needs.
  • Own the end-to-end vision for how merchandisers interact with Constructor.io, from discovery to execution, and align it with your Product managers.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to develop and execute product initiatives that enhance the merchandiser experience.
  • Create and socialize a compelling roadmap that translates into an iterative and value-driven backlog for your product team.
  • Orchestrate go-to-market activities with sales and marketing across your portfolio and product team.
  • Conduct customer and user interviews to better understand needs, challenges, and workflows to drive improvements and innovations within the product.
  • Work to support major new customer onboarding where necessary.
  • Utilize data and insights to prioritize product features and enhancements, ensuring they deliver measurable value to our customers and the business.
  • Perform competitive research and analysis and leverage these insights to inform your product and portfolio level vision and strategy.
  • Research market trends, and make sure we're planning for where the market will be in a few years, not just today.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on product strategy, roadmaps, and progress against key metrics.
  • Provide visionary leadership to your Product Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • When appropriate, hire, mentor and develop team members with product management best practices, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to our customers and the company's success.

You would be a good fit if:

  • You have experience of leading the definition and delivery of products and initiatives which have a high degree of cross-functional complexity and integration.
  • You seek an entrepreneurial environment and have a track-record of delivering results in a high-growth environment.
  • You have excellent analytical abilities, you effectively use data to drive decisions and can coach others to do the same.
  • You are motivated to see value delivered in production and aren't satisfied with works-in-theory solutions.
  • You have experience running product in a B2B SaaS context, bonus points if you have experience working with multiple personas within this context.
  • You have an ecommerce background, including digital merchandising, category management, product management, etc.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to a diverse audience.
  • You are excited to bring learnings from your experience to augment our product culture.
  • You’re passionate about the growth and development of your Product Managers and see their success as your success.
  • You have demonstrated success working with teams including a significant number of remote and distributed members, particularly in engineering roles.
  • Familiarity working in an agile software development environment with empowered teams.
