Sr Integrations Engineer – Remote in Mexico

As part of the Core Engineering Services team, we are seeking an experienced Sr Integrations Engineer to join our team and drive the design, development, and maintenance of robust integration solutions across our distributed systems landscape.

We are looking for a specialist who lives at the intersection of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and Cloud Infrastructure, with the expertise to turn complex data flows into seamless, resilient business processes.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

1. Distributed Systems & Microservices Architecture

• Design & Development: Build high-performance, containerized microservices and gRPC/RESTful APIs using Golang.
• Orchestration: Architect complex, long-running business processes and distributed transactions using Temporal (Activities, Signals, Child Workflows).
• Resilience Engineering: Implement advanced stability patterns including Circuit Breakers, Bulkheads, Idempotency, and Dead Letter Queues (DLQs) to ensure "always-on" reliability.

2. Event-Driven Strategy

• Pattern Implementation: Drive the adoption of Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Saga orchestration.
• Stream Processing: Build and optimize high-throughput producers/consumers and complex event processing (CEP) logic for real-time correlation and aggregation.
• Schema Governance: Define and maintain evolutionary event schemas using Protocol Buffers and JSON Schema.

3. Cloud, DevOps & Observability

• Infrastructure as Code: Provision and manage Azure-native resources using Terraform.
• Orchestration & Mesh: Optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments and manage traffic/security via Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
• Deep Observability: Instrument systems with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure full-stack visibility and proactive alerting.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience in a similar Senior Integrations or Distributed Systems Engineering role.
• Fluent in English.

Technical Core

• Language Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Golang; secondary experience in Python, Java, or C# is highly valued.
• Messaging Ecosystems: Deep hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (partitioning, consumer groups) and message brokers like RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
• Data Expertise: Strong background in both SQL and NoSQL design, ETL/ELT pipelines, and stream processing (Flink, Spark, or Kafka Streams).
• Security First: Expert knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and secrets management in a distributed environment.

Professional Experience

• Proven Track Record: Extensive experience in senior-level roles focusing on large-scale integration and distributed systems.
• Architectural Fluency: Ability to articulate the "why" behind patterns like GraphQL Federation, Event Mesh, or CQRS.
• Collaborative Leader: Comfortable working in an Agile environment, partnering with Product and Data Engineering to translate business requirements into technical specs.
