Job Title: Vice President, Local Broadcast Sales

Location: New York Highly Preferred

About This Role:

The VP of Sales will drive sales growth and currency adoption among major broadcast companies and local television stations within assigned accounts and new business. Comscore seeks a sales professional with experience in local media spanning linear, CTV, and digital platforms. This achiever will secure contract renewals and upsell our products and services, with an emphasis on cross-platform measurement. Understanding local measurement within our evolving media landscape is essential. We are seeking a high-performing individual who combines strong negotiating skills, a tenacious persona, a curious mind with strong skills analytical skills, sharp communication, and a passion for winning. This professional will build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, research leaders, station GMs, Directors of Sales and their sales teams at broadcast stations. Our ideal candidate brings experience in Local Broadcast television or cable television sales, or agency buying experience at the local market level, with strong knowledge of Comscore's solutions suite.

What You'll Do:

The successful candidate will maintain and grow their book of business by:

  • Securing contract renewals with client buy-in

  • Upselling new Comscore products and services and demonstrate their value

  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with key stakeholders at both corporate and market levels

  • Maintaining regular communication, via email, video conference, or in-person meetings with key stakeholders regularly

  • The candidate will maintain sales pipeline via Salesforce and speak to it fluently during sales meetings

  • This team player will coordinate across the organization, working cross-functionally with account managers assigned to their accounts as well as product management, product marketing, and other internal teams to sell and create, go-to-market opportunities, and solve client challenges

What You'll Need:

  • Proactive, passionate sales professional with 7+ years of success in television sales, agency buying, or media research industries; local experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of Comscore measurement solutions is an advantage

  • Solid understanding of local measurement and be a quick study of Comscore’s products and services, as well as the ability to embrace new products as they emerge. Experience in delivering effective platform demonstrations is valuable.

  • Strong analytical and organizational ability

  • Understanding of media research and how information can be applied to help clients achieve their goals

  • Strong communication skills: particularly the ability to illustrate the value proposition of Comscore Local data to television stations

  • Excellent interpersonal and account management aptitude; ability to build trust within large and diverse client organizations

  • Self-motivated attitude with a desire to exceed targets

  • The ability to travel to see clients regularly is required.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, working knowledge of Salesforce

  • College Degree Required

  • The OTE for this Vice President Sales role in New York ranges from $185,000 to $260,000 per year.
