Director, Enterprise Learning and Knowledge

Hybrid – 1 day per week in-office (Toronto – St. Clair or Markham location)

Description:

The Director, Enterprise Learning and Knowledge is a pivotal strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling how knowledge, skills, and best practices are captured, shared, and developed across the entire organization. This role will design, implement, and oversee comprehensive learning programs, curate robust knowledge content, and lead impactful change initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, enhance employee capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence. You will play a critical role in ensuring our people have the resources and development pathways needed to succeed in alignment with our corporate values and business strategy.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Learning Program Design & Oversight:

  • Design, develop, and oversee a scalable, enterprise-wide onboarding program for all new hires across diverse portfolios, ensuring alignment with corporate values, business strategy, and key financial concepts.

  • Lead the strategy, development, and implementation of innovative, certification-based training modules that equip employees with essential skills and knowledge.

  • Collaborate with the L&D Platform team to effectively deliver learning content through existing systems and integrate third-party training materials to supplement custom programs.

  • Continuously evaluate and evolve all learning programs to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational needs and industry best practices.

Best Practices & Content Strategy:

  • Partner closely with executive leadership, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify, document, and curate organizational best practices across all functions.

  • Design, maintain, and evolve comprehensive development pathways for emerging and established leaders, ensuring a pipeline of capable talent.

  • Develop and implement a strategy for curating, organizing, and disseminating valuable best practice articles, case studies, and internal knowledge assets.

Knowledge Management & Peer Networks:

  • Collaborate strategically with the L&D Platform team and other relevant stakeholders on the optimal user experience and engagement of the company's knowledge management frameworks and platforms, focusing on content architecture and user adoption.

  • Establish, manage, and facilitate dynamic forums and communities for sharing best practices, fostering peer-to-peer learning, and supporting executive development and networking across the organization.

Organizational Change Management:

  • Lead corporate change management and integration projects related to the adoption of new internal processes, systems, and organizational shifts, ensuring smooth transitions and high user engagement.

  • Develop and implement communication plans, training strategies, and support mechanisms to facilitate effective change adoption.

Strategic Partnership & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the Strategic HR Director to complement succession planning and executive development initiatives by providing scalable learning programs, knowledge resources, and development pathways that support identified talent needs at all levels.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on matters of organizational learning, knowledge sharing, and change adoption.

  • Work in partnership with the L&D Platform team to understand system capabilities and limitations, ensuring seamless delivery of developed learning and knowledge content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in roles focused on organizational development, learning & development, knowledge management, or talent management, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or strategic program design capacity.

  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing large-scale, enterprise-wide learning programs (e.g., onboarding, leadership development).

  • Demonstrated expertise in knowledge management principles and strategies, with a strong focus on content architecture, curation, and user adoption.

  • Strong experience in leading and executing change management initiatives within complex organizational environments.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to think strategically, translate business needs into practical learning solutions, and measure impact.

  • Experience collaborating with technology teams to leverage learning management systems and knowledge platforms for content delivery.

  • Experience working with M&A and Software companies, a plus.
