Cohesity is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to join our dynamic and growing Legal team who will report into our Sr. Director, Legal Operations & Chief of Staff. Our Legal Ops team is at the forefront of innovation and delivery for our corporate legal department clients. We serve both as advisors and as experienced, scalable, hands-on resources, collaborating with our clients to contain risk and optimize processes through people, process & technology.

We are seeking someone who has a wide range of skills from people management, process analysis and optimization, technology assessment, design planning, implementation experience, and operational diligence. You will oversee and mentor individuals, providing guidance, instruction, and oversight in supporting the completion of deliverables and commitments. You will embody core Cohesity RADIO values by providing excellent customer experience and developing client relationships through service delivery that exceeds client expectations. This can be a 100% remote position that can be worked from anywhere in the USA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverage subject matter expertise to assess legal operations processes & technology to provide objective guidance and recommendations on solutions.
  • Help lead and drive cross-functional discussions and process optimization exercises emphasizing the continued rollout of our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.
  • Assess workloads spanning projects, operational activities & team member liaison duties to groups within legal.
  • Facilitate strategic and functional conversations with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business and technical needs, including business process modeling, integration, and reporting; provide subject matter expertise on industry best practices and tool capabilities.
  • Understand key legal analytics and metrics with an eye towards building, leveraging, and institutionalizing within legal.
  • Define and orchestrate the change management strategy and effort needed to ensure strong user adoption and a seamless implementation experience.
  • Continuously improve our practice by enhancing methodologies, project delivery approaches, and tools; encourage collaboration and model company values to guide team members.
  • Work with the Legal Operations team to ensure all operational duties continue efficiently, and the team provides follow-the-sun coverage and support.
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth of Cohesity’s reputation for thought leadership and problem-solving, actively develop ideas, and contribute to practice growth/evolution and company-wide strategic initiatives.

Experience, Education and Other Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the legal or consulting industry (i.e., in-house legal department, law firm, legal software provider, or consulting firm)
  • 5+ years experience in Legal Technology assessments, requirements gathering, system design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment, with proven experience implementing with a focus on CLM
  • 3+ years experience in a customer-facing role, delivering projects and overseeing other resources to the completion of their tasks
  • 3+ years experience with direct management
  • Four-year degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, Data & Analytics, and the like, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the following focus areas:
  • Experience eliciting requirements from requirements owners and recommending process improvements (strong stakeholder interview skills).
  • Project management, including development and management of project plans.
  • Knowledge of the core missions of Commercial, Corporate, Compliance, Employment, Patent, and Product legal functions.
  • Experience leading process and technology implementation projects across workstreams and through all stages of a project lifecycle.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving solving, and research skills; proficient in process and data mapping
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (written and spoken), demonstrating confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment when interacting with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Excels in a cooperative team environment; takes the initiative to forward team operational efficiency through improved methodologies; able to ideate and create client deliverables with minimal oversight from senior leadership
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with peers, software vendors, other suppliers, management, and client contacts
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and entrepreneurial spirit with an eagerness to quickly learn and develop new subject matter expertise and business skills
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize tasks, maintaining exacting standards for work product with keen attention to detail
Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.US Pay Range$113,600—$142,000 USD
