Your new role: FP&A Manager

Location: remote or on-site in Europe

We are looking for a proactive and commercially savvy FP&A Manager, who has the passion and technical skills to support Cognigy’s exponential growth. You will be a key business partner to our commercial and leadership teams by supporting new projects and initiatives to evolve decision support capabilities across the business, driving performance, building plans for the future, as well as managing regular reporting and forecasting to all major stakeholders.

By joining our finance team, you will contribute to solving their key challenges of getting a deeper understanding of the business through detailed financial metrics and collaboration with a high performing team. Projects to be undertaken include deep analysis of the business performance with a rigorous month end process, building a rolling forecast and modelling capability, stakeholder reporting, in depth analysis of opportunities to improve business performance and supporting optimization of data extracted from our new ERP (netsuite), CRM and BI Data Warehouse.

This role can be performed remotely from your home office anywhere in Europe, at our head office in Düsseldorf or one of our other European offices.

Responsibilities:

• Evolving Cognigy’s Financial Planning, Budgeting and Analysis
• Analyzing the business, providing insights to management to drive improved performance
• Providing commercial and analytical decision support including financial modelling, scenario building, project costing, lifetime value analysis, ROI analysis on product development and marketing, Gross Margin and product profitability analysis.
• Implementing a rolling forecasting and leading the annual budgeting process by partnering with budget holders across the company
• Running the forecasting cycle including partnering all teams in the business
• Long term financial planning and modelling for P&L, Cashflow, Balance Sheet and Funding
• Managing relevant data, processes and models to ensure outputs are delivered efficiently and on time.
• Build and develop forecasting and long term Planning models

Requirements

About you

• A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
• A recognised Accountancy or Finance Qualification
• 5-10+ years of commercial FP&A / Controller
• The ability to make sense of complex and high quantity information
• Experience gained within a technology, SAAS or software company. Ideally exposure with both a global business and also a Start up / Scale up business. Someone who knows what good looks like on a global scale and knows how to build it.
• Strongly collaborative and open style, a real team player.
