Senior Data Engineer

Essential Duties:

• Partner with stakeholders and business leaders to design and build robust services using data pipeline tools, ETL tools, and Snowflake datawarehouse.

• Develop ad hoc queries, views, and materialized tables against Snowflake databases and schedule the queries using SnowSQL and Python scripts.

• Translate advanced business data, integration, and analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations, across multiple departments.

• Communicate results and educate others through visualizations, reports, and presentations.

• Perform data profiling and analysis to develop strategy and create applicable data models.

• Conduct code reviews ensuring adherence to best programming practices and internal procedures.

• Manage changes in the SQL queries through GitHub for proper version control and seamless collaboration.

• Partner with internal teams to deliver rapid and impactful solutions that align to business strategy.

• Develop data architecture diagrams to support business requirements.

• Develop source-to-target mappings to translate raw data into target data models.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent experience

• 4+ years of related experience

• Experience in one or more of the major cloud providers in relation to integration with Snowflake

• Experience leveraging data integration tools to populate target data models

• Experience with SQL, Python languages

• Advanced experience with relational/non-relational databases

• Experience working in a high performing agile delivery model

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce quality results

• Preferred: Tableau, PowerBI, MyDBR, Jaspersoft, Stitch, Fivetran, Certified SnowPro Advanced

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
